Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I fold my sunshade so it fits in the carry bag?
Lay your sunshade flat. Holding the frame in a U-shape, coil both ends of the shade into one another, forming a circle of approximately 8 inches in diameter. Do not bend as the frame may kink. Insert coiled sunshade into carry bag.
  2. Are your products covered under a warranty?
You can find information on the Warranty page.
  3. How do I decide between a Classic and a Compact Sunshade?
Our Classic sunshade is the largest canopy-style sunshade in the market and provides exceptional sun protection for your little bub. On some smaller strollers, however, a Compact Sunshade may fit better (i.e., umbrella). It is 25% smaller than our Classic Sunshade, most of that difference is accounted for by less coverage on the sides of the sunshade.
  4. What is the difference between your sunshades and others?
Our sunshades are often thought to be the Gold Standard as far as stroller canopies and covers goes. There are 4 primary reasons for this:
    1. Our sunshades are made out of a specially woven polyester microfiber that is breathable and doesn’t retain heat. That’s why our darker colored sunshades won’t make your child hot. Other sunshades in the market are made of nylon/lycra and will retain heat (and snag on Velcro).
    2. Our Sunshades have a patented design and are the only ones with mesh side panels, allowing for proper air circulation and better viewing for the child under the shade.
    3. We use a sturdier frame than other flimsier sunshades which keeps our shade from blowing up in the wind.
  5. Where can I purchase a Protect-a-Bub sunshade?
Check our Store Locator for a retailer near you.
  6. How do I know if your sunshades will fit my stroller?
Our stroller sunshades and covers are fully adjustable to fit all strollers and joggers with a canopy. Our Car Seat Sunshade and Infant Car Seat AWS will fit all infant car seats and Convertible/Toddler car seats.
  7. How do I clean my sunshade?
Because our sunshades have a flexible frame, they cannot be machine washed. You can spot clean your sunshade with cold water and wipe or air dry.
  8. What are your sunshades made out of?
    100% Polyester Microfiber Weave.
  9. Are your sunshades water resistant?
No. Adding water-repellency to the material our sunshades are made from would sacrifice their breathability.
  10. Is there a Protect-a-Bub catalogue that you can send to me?
All of our products can be viewed on our online catalog. Due to the rapid development of new products, we do not have printed literature available to send.
